Katkwenyes (success) Literacy and Basic Skills

Katkwenyes offers regular programming in areas of: Basic Upgrading, Basic Computers (beginner level), Intermediate Computers (PowerPoint), Advanced Computers (Excel), Tutoring, G1 Driver Education, Aboriginal Languages, Journaling. We have also extended our program reach by servicing current high school students with a home work club.
Throughout the year Katkwenyes also hosts a variety of cultural workshops including crafts (moccasins, dream catchers, beading, drum making, medicine pouches) medicines (salve making, medicine walks, eco- circles, cooking).
In order to service the community, overcome common barriers and promote a healthy learning environment Katkwenyes also provides healthy snacks for each program offered as well as additional training supports (eligibility criteria applies) in areas of childcare and transportation.
